Invico Capital Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager, Allison Taylor, has been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women and a 2021 Top 100 Award Winner by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).
The Top 100 Awards span the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors and are presented to women in 13 categories, with winners being selected by WXN’s Diversity Council of Canada. Allison was selected in the BMO Entrepreneurs category, which recognizes female founders who own and operate businesses and bring their bold enthusiasm to the table. Allison co-founded Invico in 2005 alongside Jason Brooks and has served as a trailblazer by helping grow the firm’s managed capital to over $1.2 billion and employing a diverse workforce that is majority female.
“I am honored to be named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women and would like to congratulate my fellow award winners,” said Allison. “As a female CEO in a male-dominated sector, I have had to navigate and overcome numerous barriers to get where I am today. I am proud to employ a majority-female workforce, including representation at all levels of the firm. I strive to inspire as a female role model and mentor to other women in the financial sector as they progress through their careers to help them achieve success.”
