BNN’s markets commentator Andrew McCreath will host the celebration and help us recognize those individuals who reach significant goals, exceed expectations, and deliver exceptional results for the PCMA.

Setting the Pace for the Private Capital Markets: 7th Annual Private Capital Markets Conference

From the UK, in an exclusive engagement, global market pioneer, UN diplomat and former executive board member of World Economic Forum, Theodore Malloch, will present a keynote speech at the conference.

Malloch is chairman and CEO of The Global Fiduciary Governance LLC, a leading strategy thought leadership company.  He works exclusively with CEOs, and business and government leaders who need to conceptualize projects on a global scale.

He assists those who require access at the very highest levels, and who demand “real-time” information to understand and manage rapidly changing markets, government transformations, emerging trading blocs and critical relationships. He will explore all this in his keynote, “Common Sense Canadian Capital”.

The PCMA conference will feature nearly a dozen separate and wide-ranging panel discussions on understanding industry DATA, regulatory outlook, corporate governance, crypto-currency, alternative investments, compliance network and OM.  Four- time Olympian Heather Moyse will also address enthusiastic attendees with her inspiring journey to Olympic Gold, Unlikely, but Possible. Her two time gold medal haul will be on display, with book signing and photo opportunity.

Seasoned crypto asset investor, and co-author of “Crypto Assets: The Innovative Investor’s Guide to Bitcoin & Beyond”, Jack Tatar will provide a feature presentation on the ABCs of Bitcoin and Blockchain.  Tatar has more than two decades of experience in financial services and is also the owner of GEM Research Solutions, a leading research provider to the financial services industry. He was one of the first financial professionals to receive certification from the Digital Currency Council.

Also headlining the PCMA conference is former Dragon’s Den co-star and LavaLife co-founder Bruce Coxon. A digital media marketing pioneer, venture capitalist and current co-host of The Disruptors on BNN TV, Bruce Coxon  will showcase one of the world’s industry leading tech incubators, Ryerson DMZ.  He will deliver the conference’s closing keynote address along with Ryerson DMZ Executive Director Abdullah Snobar, and accompanied by a few startup superstars!

Other speakers and panelists include: leading experts in real estate; P3; fintech; corporate tax; and a special section dedicated to dealing representatives.

Elder statesman and chairman of Caldwell Financial Ltd and president of Urbana Corporation Thomas Caldwell, C.M will share his knowledge on alternative investments with his talk on “The Ascendency of Private Equity”.  He is a past governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange and one of the leading experts in capital markets, particularly in trading environments.

Witness the birth of a new type of digital asset that is free of the blockchain with computer science genius Sean Worthington, author of “Beyond Bitcoin: The Future of Digital Currencies.”  He will also uncover the impact DATA has on your business.

And it certainly wouldn’t be complete without an emotional and controversial look at cannabis. Alan Park, a comedian, cancer survivor and medical marijuana advocate, will deliver an inspirational, funny and deadly serious personal journey.  This will be followed by a top industry leader, Tim Saunders of Growth Canopy. You don’t want to miss this most polarizing industry topic at the conference this year.

More than 300 industry members are expected to attend the event, including entrepreneurs, disruptors, tech innovators, exempt market dealers, dealing representatives, private capital issuers and companies, legal, accounting, and compliance advisers, private equity and venture capital funds, investment advisors and regulators.
